Over the years I have been maintaining and adding feature requests, all the while continuing to work with various different teams at my company to increase search performance. Over the years we have increased search performance by over 60% and increased revenue over 40%.
The CMS that their site is built on is a proprietary CMS and lacks some fundamental features of other platforms. This gave us an opportunity to build out functionality for this platform. Some of which includes:
The biggest challenges over the past 6 years has been working in a proprietary platform and not having complete access to the database or server. This has restricted us a bit on what we could accomplish and the method we chose. Every step of the way we have had to fight the platform, however if there is a will there's a way, we were always able to find a solution.
AM Leonard has been one of our best partners over the years and has given us their trust, through creative freedom we have been able to make huge gains in performance. We did not get to this position overnight or with a couple of small changes, this took years of small and large tweaks. We got to where we are today through playing the long game and not taking shortcuts. Some of the ways were through, Site Speed, AMP, Old School SEO, A/B Testing, and UX research.
