At a high level they had a list of business’s that they considered leads for their sales team. We took that list and crawled their website’s and applied machine learning to find similar traits and keywords. With that data we were able to crawl thousands of websites and find leads based on that criteria, collecting phone numbers and email’s. My job in this project was to define and architect the frontend.
A major challenge in this project was in the beginning we had no idea what we wanted the user experience to be, we were unsure what the application would be able to do or its capability. The client had little feedback in the beginning until we got something up off the ground. It took a lot of meetings and brain storming to get a workable design and architecture.
We launched our first version in the spring of 2019 and turned it into a product that later spun off into its own company.
